Last Friday a pipe burst (or a valve failed) in my master bathroom. I thought the toilet was leaking and I could fix it. I determined Saturday that I was wrong. I contact the ins company, turned off the water and cleaned up the mess that I could see. I discovered that the carpet in the master bedroom was also wet in one area. The adjuster cam yesterday and gave me an idea what they would cover. A plumber also came yesterday and determined the leak is on a hot water line but it is probably behind the vanity in the bathroom. The temporary fix is that the hot water is turned off until the vanity can be removed. The adjuster said I should contact restoration services to begin the process of putting the bath and bedroom back to the pre-leak condition. There is also a pungent odor coming from under the vanity so I am assuming that the water has not all dried. In addition to the clean up, do you handle the tear down and reconstruction of the vanity and affected walls? I need an estimate of your costs (ballpark) to address this mess. Thank you.
